My birthday's coming up (62 -- as if I need an excuse...;) ) and I've been thinking about the 110 in CPM 154 that Chuck Buck showed me at the Bass Pro shop opening near Calgary a couple of months ago. It's hard to find a comparison chart or even information on composition of CPM 154, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone has any real world experience with one.

I carry a BP110 as my EDC and I have been very pleased with it. It takes a 'killer' edge and seems to hold it for at least as long as S30V. The steel seems to have a very fine grain structure and is not prone to chipping. I was so impressed with the BP110, that I bought two.

Oh yes, the gray coating on the blade is as tough as nails.

A couple of more points that I forgot to mention. CPM154 is identical to 154CM in alloy components and is twice as tough as 154CM, which surprised everyone.

By the way, Happy Birthday in advance, Ed. :)

I have to agree with APF, I bought a BP-110 2 years ago I think it was.
It is still sharp and I have used it to clean fish,Deer , cut all kinds of sandwitches.I thing you will be well pleased with one.
Let us know how it works out for you.
