Hey guys, I recently scored a Black and Tan BATAC off the exchange, I have always had gamewardens in the past. I am gonna strip it, as the coating is worn, and this knife was a user. I also think the black and tan G10 will look sweeeeet with a nice convex satin blade.

It will still be a user too. ;)

Anywho, I got a question, Any of you guys hand convex your INFI? I am gonna convex this bad boy, but w/o power tools, and I wanna know how hard the steel is. Does the spine have a bevel to it?

Id like to see some BATAC pron, and some of the Black and Tan Busses with satin blades if you got any around. Whats your opinions of the BATAC?

Oh, I then turned right around and bought a SMOG warden. I hope this doesnt get out of hand. ;)

Uh oh....
Purchasing larger blades.....
The disease is spreading.
See a doctor ASAP (aka financial adviser)

Yeah, I keep eyeballin to many models now. I really want a Ruck, and a Mistress, and a SFNO, and a......:o

Ya know, Ive noticed that they are getting easier to get off the exchange. Lots to choose from. I remember when you couldnt find very many. I might need a second job. Or an INFI sugar momma.

This is my Blk/Tan shinners!!!

I love the BATAC myself. One of the best handling knives for hunting I have found. Have a BATAC-LE, and a BATAC-SE-07.

convexing by hand is pretty easy with the mousepad/sandpaper method as long as you're talking about just the edge. it'd take a long time to convex the main bevel by hand

RussMo, sweet blades man!!!!

silverdragon33, thanks man, I was talkin about just the edge at first, and then maybe the main bevel later via power tools. I have the scotchbright wheels ready to go as well after stripping her..

Love the handle on that one bro!!! I love the BATAC. My ideal size in a blade....

Nice underfolder too!

BATACs ROCK!!!

Yeah I started out with a few game wardens and the black and tan batac was my first step up into larger blades. I think i have 17? now and keep wanting more!

Will do brother. What does a Spa treatment consist of, and how long does it take?

Damn!!!! I dont own 17 knives total. Well, uh... maybe I do. hehe :o

I love the black and tan scales.

I just had the stripped blade cleaned up a bit and the slabs I oversanded replaced.
Garth's spa treatment is whatever he agrees to do to make your used INFI look new again.

I sold my BATAC, and I crave of another from that moment...
a blk/snake or a tan/snake...

Thought id throw these pics in mine. I got this bad boy a few hours ago, and went right to work. What a badass blade, its a great size..... I was worried about its fit in the kydex after stripping, but it still fits fine. Also no gapes under the scales. I am happy.

It looks like the Klean strip lightened the black in the scales. It looks alot more grey. It could be my eyes playin tricks on me cause of the blades gray color. No matter, I was suprisd at the condition under the coating, not bad at all!! Now the real work begins.......
