BATAC - magnum or standard handle?

Which one do you like more?
I considering getting BATAC with G-10 magnum handle, but I'm not so sure if I'm going to like it.
I have a BATAC with standard handle and like the handle a lot. It fits my hands that are rather small, very well.
I'm a little affraid that with magnum handle the knife might be a little heavy and a bit awkward.
What do you guys think?
 
Mags all the way!! :thumbup:

Standard TAC grips are too small for me.
 
The mags on the BATACs (at least from the original run) weren't really that much bigger than than standards... The difference wasn't nearly as dramatic as what it was with the FBMs.

I haven't handled any of the ones from the Co Store, but I'm assuming they are the same. Maybe someone with both can post a pic for you.

Are the standard handles then similar width between a BATAC and FBM?

I just received a FFBM with Mag handles and love it! At the Indy 1500 I got to hold a few with the standard handles and must say, Mag, hands down!
 
I think they are both great handles. I find both to be comfortable and secure. It is, I think, a completely personal choice. The main difference would be how handle weight and mass effect control vs. power. I find both handles are cool.
 
For me - prob smaller hands - I like the mags much better !!:thumbup:

And do it now beofre SHE has more say in the matter :D:D:DGo For IT! :)
 
I have the mags on the BAtac and for a knife that size, I would probably like the thinner slabs. However since I don't have one I can't say for sure, guess I'll have to get one.:thumbup:
Anyway as others have said the mags scales are not that large compared to other knives. Grab one of each, they'll be gone soon, maybe.:confused:

I pretty much have Busses with every kind of handle now ... except for a few of the oldest.

The mags on the new BATACS aren't much bigger than the standards -- but do seem more comfortable and a better fit for me (medium size hands). There isn't enough added mass to the mag handles to change the way the knife handles...at least it doesn't change the handling for me.

I agree that this is a completely personal choice. Of course, if you end up not liking the handles, the BCS can always change 'em for you! Or you could sell the mag and pick up a standard -- again, no real problem.

Look up some of Morimotom's recent posts on Badgers. Mark has some good pics in there that might help you.

I have smallish hands and I prefer the mags on the BATAC. If the blade thickness was greater than 3/16 then the mags probably wouldn't be my preferred choice.
 
Mag scales are great for chopping. The knife will not tend to "roll" in your grip.

I always go for the Mag scales.
 
I also go Magnum if the choice is for G-10 scales.
Mine is fitted with standard G-10, small hand also, but would prefer a touch larger myself.
