I still haven't had a lot of free time to give my SE a good workout but here is a quick clip of it doing some light chopping and prying. It easily made some great tinder and smaller sized pieces for a fire w/o a baton. I need to get this beast out where there are some bigger targets. And yes I was careful w/ my fingers. All 8 of them. 

It feels real comfortable chopping and prying.
This next one is some batonning with my dead blow hammer. It's hard to see but only about 1" of the blade was available for batonning. However, 1" was plenty and it went through the wood easily. I hope I have time for a fire later tonight before bedtime.

And the DCBB is holding up superbly. I think this is my new favorite finish.
