I thought there was an image posted that compared these two knives, but I have not been able to find it.

Does anyone remember that, or, if I am imaging things, can someone put up a pic of them side-by-side, or overlaid? Thanks!

Not the LM but I have a gen2 Howler and SJTAC pics:

Cool pics of the SJ and BA.

It doesn't look like a big difference when they're laid on top of each other, but it sure "feels" a lot different in hand. The SJ just feels like a big knife to me, the BA does not.

The difference is in the handle. The SJTAC was too. . . .anorexic in the handle area. You really see the influence of the new SR line in the BATAC handles. MUCH closer in feel. More. . . meaty.

It's not a LOT more steel, but enuf to fit better in the hand. Esp at where the index finger rests - VERY thin on the SJTAC to me. The BATAC is fatter there and feels MUCH better.

There is also a lot less rounding of the micarta on the BATAC vs. SJTAC. Square-ish like the SR line. Fits the hand MUCH better.

The choil-area is also "fatter" on the BATAC. As I look at them together, the SJ seems like it's primarily a fighter. The BATAC like a mid-sized user. I'd expect to take out enemy agents with my SJ and hack up a moose with my BA. ;)

resinguy: please post pics of the BATACLE when she arrives. That is a knife that I may have to try to score if it pops up at the Co. store. ;)
