Hmmmm. I have a dozen 2-4' wide pine stumps in my back yard. Hmmmmmm. Nahhh. Too much work. But I might give it a whirl for a liddle-bit.
 
Never thought of getting rid of stumps that way. Great Idea! Now I need a mallet.

Save what you chip out. Pine stumps are usually good for some Fat Wood for starting fires.
