I asked Ban to turn my Green + Snakeskin BATAC into a Satin + Snakeskin version, and I was able to pick it up late last week. Here is what it looked like originally:

I also used it for dressing pronghorn antelope:

Anyway, it turned out great, just like everything that Ban touches. He gave it a full convex grind. While the mirror-polished edge is difficult to capture in a photo, here are a few photos that I took yesterday morning:

I had a OD/Snake BATAC, and loved the combo.

But not near as much as I would have loved a Satin/Snake BATAC.
Looks much better now, and Ban is the man:thumbup:

Thanks for the pics.

That is awesome! Love the pics. It is so hard to get detail on a polished edge and still have the rest of the knife look right. I just tried on my ASH1 with what in any normal pic would look like a completely mirror edge (So like you taught me you are really only seeing reflections). Don't mind the distortion of my WA.

Here is an old pic of the same edge. Only difference at present is the edge has been stropped with use.

Could you get any really detailed shots of the edge with that Micro Lens of yours? I would love to see the edge:)

Nice one, Ken.

These edges are Horton, not Ban.

Ken, how much longer before you blood that one again?

Those pics are amazing but the last four are really, really cool.

Thanks for sharing Ken, I always enjoy your pics.

Ban does such pretty work. It isn't just for show, though. That BATAC will surely cut as good as it looks.

The best way to describe this knife's edge is air-bleeding sharp.
