I have a new BATACLE on order and wondered if the Busse family could help me on a question. Can the knife handle batonning for splitting wood ?

Thank you

JR

I don't see why not. :) ... I'd say that as long as it's not metal to metal, you should be able to. Most recommend using another piece of wood to hammer with, but the LE oughta take it and more... and if NOT, that should be covered under the warranty.

I would sat yes you should be safe, vary safe, like taking a .50 BMG to a knife fight, you will be all right

Here's the thinner BATAC batoning just fine...

I you break 1/4", full flat-grind INFI I'll replace your BATACLE:eek:. Other than being a little short for batoning, the BATACLE should be able to handle anything you throw at it (wood wise). Just for kicks get yourself a Steel Heart or Battle Mistress and split up some of that big stuff that's laying around.

Personally I'm more excited to get the Sus Scrofas than the BATACLE...

I've batonned regularly with my CG BATAC. It handles it fine, although its a tad short to be ideal. An LE, being thicker, should be even better for the job.
