BATACSE -vs- The Pallet

Well after mulling over which knives to keep and which to sell, and all the advice from the Trough, I have decided I just can't sell my BATACSE.

So instead I took it outside and gave it a good spanking. Mind you this is not a Mistress or a designated chopper. But it held its own.

 
Nice call. The BATAC SE would be a tough one to replace.
 
Thanks for the vid. It's nice to know what my BATACLE is probably capable of. What's your dog thinking sitting there in the background :eek:

I did some chopping with my CG BATAC - and it really not bad for a 5 " balde. Surely enough to make a nice fire and eat a hot meal during a hike.
BATAC SE shoud be even better as it is thicker. AWESOME knife - do not sell it!
 
Realistically, if I were to use it for splitting wood, I'd baton with it. Given its thickness it id very good at that. But I just find it a really nice size and very versatile. Great for those urban excursions. ;)

With all the talk about selling/trading those two on the forum, and Paddlingman's "slipper material" comment, I know exactly what he's thinking. :D
 
I am sure it would chop better if I thinned the edge a bit. I just might have to hit it with the Edge Pro. ;)

That BATACSE did real well for a small blade. I have been wanting to do the same my BATACLE.

I was wondering about that. What causes that? The original on my hard drive syncs just fine. It must be lag time from photobucket. A streaming issue? Any one technically minded here as far as vid cameras go?

I think I need to find some obnoxious pallets around and put them in their place!
