Started these today. These are my Textured Kiridashi model which are 5" overall with a 1 3/4" cutting edge. These are 1080 which are getting clay tempered and etched to show the hamon. The underlay materials will be a variety of skins and possibly textured copper. You guys can also see these on my website. The clay is now drying, more tomorrow.

Profiled.

I really like the looks of these, looking forward to seeing the finished pieces. Textured Copper or Bronze would look great.

Thanks guys!

So while the clay was drying, went and did a little fishing on the American River this morning :)

Knives are looking good - but you didn't show us how dinner turned out - it looked quite promising. :)

I have never been much of a fan of Kiridashis,
but.......you are changing my opinion really quick.
The knives are looking great. I can't wait to see how they look with the textured copper.
I can visualize having one of these on hand to use at work during the day.

Serge,
Are you going to be at the Pasadena show in March?

Thanks you guys! I apologize for not taking more pics of the build, got a bit weary with these. Handrubbing 8 blades at once can really wear you out :D
Anyways, the knives are all finished, working on the sheaths. Hope you guys like them! You can also see these on my website.

Serge,
Are you going to be at the Pasadena show in March?

No, the only show as of now that I'll be doing regularly is Blade.
