Starting tonight I will be "Home Alone" :eek: until Sunday afternoon! Connie, Becky, Dave, and the girls are going down to Murphysboro for a family reunion, I`m staying home to take care of the dogs and Becky`s cat. I even get the car, they decided on renting one for the weekend! Party at the JK Compound!
 
Don't know what you will do, but if I had that time to myself, I'd probably fall asleep in the recliner watching a movie. Sounds boring, I know. Between that and maybe a little shop time, sounds like a good weekend to me.

Just let me know where to send the dancing girls...

Tomorrow morning I am going to start shaping the handles on a couple of knives I made for myself, then in the afternoon I`m going to try to hunt down some 9mm ammo, I`m down to 300 rounds.

Congrats on the freebe weekend! Hunting ammo is getting old, though it seems to be breaking loose a little. You can use Ammo-can.net and it will search all the walmarts in your area and let you know what they have in stock. It's not always accurate but I've had good success, just scored 3 boxes of Federal 9mm 100 round, $23 each. Good luck, I'm shooting my new Hi-power for the first time this weekend:D
 
John, I have had pretty good luck on ammo at Kankakee farm and fleet and the Big R in morris, As well as the farm and fleet in ottawa. They have had .223's latley and some .9mm, .380 etc. I will be in morris in the morning and can check for ya before ya make a trip if you cant find it anywhere else. I know Mega sports in Joliet/ shorewood had plenty of .9mm a week or two ago. Not sure if they still have the 2 box max or not. Good luck I alway love a weekend to myself.
 
Our oldest daughter lives close to Farm and Fleet, and we have her check once a week (she has her FOID). No luck, unless it`s the wrong day. It seems to be a "right place at the right time" kind of deal with ammo! As much as I hate Mega Sports (bunch of a-holes working there) I might have to go there. It`s a good day for a road trip, (nice and drizzly, my favorite kind of day to relax), maybe I`ll go to Morris, check out Big R, Walmart, and my favorite antique store, then swing by Mega Sports on the way back.
 
Home for a weekend sounds like a dream to me. I hope you have a blast.
 
Ended up at Mega Sports, but prices were crazy, did not buy anything. Sure makes me glad I bought my guns years ago, could not afford them now.
 
John do you guys have like a local online gun forum? maybe not legal in IL. I just got super lucky today and scored some 9 mil at 10 bucks a box. I usually have good luck with ftf private party sales. where I get my best deals.

ain't it always the way, I'm always thinking "If i could just get these guys out the ay i could get some stuff done" then then their gone for a minute I end up wondering "what the hell was it I had to do!" I think I actually find it harder to work now without a two year old pulling at my sleeve and a 6 year old asking me questions :)
