we came across these recently, milspec folding grappling hooks. made for spec ops applications by the US military.
i've been looking for a top quality true "grappling hook" for some time. the only ones i've been able to find have been those cheesy "ninja" type for 10 bucks at "martial arts" suplliers, or the rock climbing type which are single arm and too specialized.
this one is compact, light enough to carry but weighty enough to throw 3 stories.
i'm going to use mine for canyoneering, river running, kayaking, and those impromtu raids on the joker's hideout.
these really are the cat's pajamas.
