batoning some fatwood with rc-3

went on a 2 mile walk today and carried my rc-3 with me. Saw a suspicous looking stump, went over and shaved away a bit of the rotten wood to reveal the sweet smelling fatwood. With my rc-3, I could get that much of it, but got a good sized chunk and carried it back to the house, where I used the rc-3 to split it into smaller sized sticks for firelighting. As usual the rat performed admirally. A pic of the results:

I think I enjoy these kind of pictures more than the ones of pretty new/unused knives. I like seeing well used knives in the field. Keep 'em coming! :thumbup:
 
Knife looks great. I also like to see them with some miles on them. Which handle is this though. I can't tell for sure.

the handle was custom made made by shotgunner11, and is a textured green and black micarta. The texture is best described as rocky mountains.

Yup, that was my first RC-3. I stripped the coating after it was pretty well worn and I textured the handles for a better grip.
