A couple simple pics of me batoning with with my Lin pybar knife. I have to rate this knife as the best I have used in every category (for me) to date. 5160 steel, 59/60hrc, 5/16 thick sharpened to a shine on a hard black arkansas whetstone and capable of incredible side loads and splitting some hefty and extremely hard, cold oak. Im getting used to how to post pics/vids (new to forum) so ill be posting some testing vids soon of Busse knives and this Lin knife. PEACE!

I was hammering this knife harder than any knife I have thus far. No damage of any sort. The wood was so dense and cold, I had to baton almost the entire length before it finally split apart.

Is that a campground? I know you didn't hike your way to that spot... coulda packed a hatchet, but hey, I enjoy tormenting certain knives too. :p

Yes, 30 feet from the rifle river. A hatchet would be far to practical lol! I was looking forward to getting away from medical/science books for a few days and figured "huh, perfect chance to put `er to some testing!" :D

Rifle River, huh? I've canoed on that river when I lived on that side of the state. I sure wouldn't be camping right now, though :) Way too cold for me.

Now that's how to use a knife! Nothing wrong with batoning when done correctly, despite what others say. Great job!
