This video was shot goat hunting with my daughter in the fall. The wind blew like this all night. The 8 inch "Y" stakes wouldn't hold in the weak mountain soils. We used a lot of rocks to hold the shelter down.

Damn, those are some strong winds. Looks like the shelter did well, and I love how comfortable your daughter is with it all.
"How is it inside?"
"It's ok." :)

The shelter held....barely. As you can see in the pics 3 of the 4 corner seams were coming undone! I sent it back and got new one under warranty.

It wasn't bad inside. Even with the shelter being floorless there was less drafts than I expected. Should have had ear plugs though, was hard to sleep with all the flapping.

I think the pyramids from Seek Outside (Silvertip and Cimmeron) would fair better in the wind since they aren't square (semi-octagon) and also have the mid-panel stake outs.

That's good on BD that they warrantied it, but I know it'd just be better if it didn't happen in the first place. I appreciate you sharing the pics.

I've yet to have my Cimarron out in much wind, but I can see where the noise would be loud.
