Awhile back before the forums changed servers there was a thread posted about building a etcher from a battery charger it was posted by Jonesy . I saved the post to disc but lost the pics.

Did anybody else happen to save the post. Would you please repost or email me irnsweany@juno.com

Hi Mike I dont know about that post, but I did go out and purchase a high voltage A/C D/C train transformer today. I am going to engineer a home made one with varible voltage, as the little one I have aint got no nuts. I will post to the forums when I can better tell what the outcome seems to be. Heck who knows I may have to go back and buy a train set to go with it. But I dont think so. Take care GenO

If anyone has an old computer laying around the power supply in it should work great for an etcher. I've got one in my bedroom that I'm going to cannibalize soon, heh heh heh!

Please show me how to do this,I`ve got butt loads of transformers laying around hither and yon,I really want to make an etcher but I`m quite the clueless one.

Thanks Mark, thats just what I needed.
I have a transformer that puts out 24v DC I wonder if I could use that instead of using the diode to change the 16v AC to DC?
