Battle Axe

The battle axe is a prototype that I have been playing with. It features a false edge on the top point, which allows the axe to be used as a thrusting weapon. Overall length on the axe is 18" with a curved cutting edge of 10 1/2". The bevel on the axe starts about 1/2" away from the edge and is convex ground to the edge. The gun kote coating kind of camaflouges the bevels in the pic. I will have it at the Blade show, table 24-M, if you want to stop by and handle it.

Not really interesting in axes of that blade type, but the handle looks very solid.

I didn't notice that old nasty toe in there either. I bet the axe would make short work of it!

At least the toe seems to be well trimmed and clean.

My momma told me never to buy an axe from someone with dirty feet.
