Did they make a black handle version of the Battle Guard? Is either black or tan handle more rare? Anyone know what original price of Battle Rat and Battle Guard were? I am playing catch up with my collection. Thanks

My understanding is that all Battle Guards have a black blade and tan handle. They are diffferentially tempered and have a full flat grind blade.

The standard Battle Rat has a black blade and black handle, is differentially tempered, and has the traditional Swamp Rat high saber ground blade.

The tan Battle Rat is the same as the standard but tan/tan.

The black and tan Battle Rat is through hardened and has the high saber grind.

The Satin Battle Rat is differentially tempered, full flat ground, tan handle, and zero edge.

I think that covers it.
