Hi... I'm new to Blade Forums. I just wanted to post pictures of my first Busse (just wanted to share my pride, hope you don't mind). Many thanks to Andre from Busse. I wanted a Battle Mistress E with a double edge to use in my upcoming military deployment, and he sold me his personal Busse because a custom order wait would have been too long.

Pictures to follow...

OH MY !!!! Oh prettiest of all Battle Mistresses, we kneel before you :) That is one awesome knife. I hope it sees some hard work and serves you well. To quote another member from a while back

"Treat your Battle Mistress well, and she will always bring you home!"

Cliff-

I ordered this knife originally for three reasons,
#1, Enhanced penetration,
#2, The ability to back-slash or up-slash if I were in a position to need to use it as a weapon,
#3 To go with my triple ground, straight handled badger 5/16 (a.k.a., it looks cool).
Turns out, it's also pointy enough, you can use it to dig splinters or to do pretty fine work.
I have another one on order, it's been on order since Blade SHow West. Don't know when I'll get it. Boy I sure miss that knife, it was supposed to be my winter time carry in the mountains, while-I-fish knife. You know, something big enough to build shelter with, pointy enough to reassure me if I have to deal with a large fuzzy black creature in the headwaters of the Santa Ana river around the 5,000 ft. level.
I'm writing this at my son's and daughter-in-law's house or I'd be looking up the name in the receipt book of this fine young recon sniper platoon leader.
Matterhorn, I know this knife will stand you in good stead, Good Luck. I know you won't be safe, so be careful and come back alive and safe.
Bye for now

Upcoming military deployment? There is nothing I can think of that would strike more fear into the heart of our Taliban enemies than an American soldier with Busse Battle Mistress in hand.Hell Yes!(hope you never have to get that close though!)

Andre, nice to see you here. Thanks again for everything. For the record though, I'm with scout snipers, not recon snipers.

You can see some modifications I made to the leg sheath you sold me with the knife. It makes it a lot more useful. While our exact deployment is not set in stone yet, nor would enough details be out to compromise anything anyway, it looks like I may end up in a jungle like area (the battle is going to be way more than just Afghanistan), in which case the BM will be a perfect friend.

WOW what a excellent head chopper you have there Matterhorn!!!

Besides killing the M9 I also munched up a Cold Steel Kuri. Got bored and wanted to try chopping my way through a bamboo thicket with the CS Kuri. Needless to say the kuri ended up having all kinds of dings in the blade and I broke off the first couple of inches of the tip. However, aint no way you're BM will break nomatter the abuse you put it through!!! I've got a Basic#9 just on the off chance any jungle/wooded areas ever show up again on the deployment list:cool:
