Battle Mistress How Often?

You'll probably have a few people say "every two weeks" coz it's a bit of a running joke around these parts.

Truth is, they come out when Mr Busse deems it time. At the moment, the only new releases are part of the Operation 2 Weeks which we are currently under. During that time the only Battle Mistress offerings were the Double Talon Battle Mistress and D Guard Battle Mistress which were released together in a limited number and are no longer available.

Your best bets:

- sign up for the Busse Combat newsletter to be advised of new offerings each week - http://www.bussecombat.com/

- watch the Exchange here as HOGs will offer up various BM variants from time to time and then you just need to be first to jump in

Not often enough... !!!

Some of us are also in the camp that the ASHBM was the least appealing blade to carry the BM moniker. You really need to handle what you are interested in for yourself as such decisions are VERY personal.

Great knife, however I would try a Fusion style handle before making a decision!

i got to hold a NMFBM last weekend and wow, theres nothing like it... imho
 
I am not in love with the ASHBMs handle either but love the battle saw. So you can't assume even the straight handles are the same.
 
The straight handles are very similar, the ASHBM blade is thicker, and the Pomell is shaped differently-otherwise very similar-Pretty much like all the fusion handles are very similar in size, FBM, CGFBM-NMFSH, NMFBM, MOABOLO etc
 
I wouldn't be surprised to see more Mistress Variants pop up during Operations 2 Weeks.
There was also the TGP BG and its as big as any Mistress. :eek:
 
Isn't the battle saw kind of a BM variant? I always looked at it as that way...I could be wrong though.
 
It is all about how it feels in your hand. I like the ASHBM.
 
Exactly what Cobalt said-The ASHBM is an Icon-I prefer the Fusion-try to get and hold both-Only YOU can be the judge of which you like best-Good luck!!!

Very true but the handle rivets on my ASHBM were installed a little deeper than my BS. This was causing hot spots for me (nothing a little sanding can't fix), but I still haven't decided if the ASHBM is a keeper even after 2 years. Back to my original post I was more referring to the slight variations can still have a big impact on how much you enjoy a specific knife. I'm a firm believer in the catch and release program.
 
Never battle your mistress... just beat her enough to please her. ;)
