I had some compacted rock covered by two inches of asphalt that was not even with the circular edge of my driveway. I used my Busse BM to cut through the asphalt and rock to make the the edge line up with the rest of the driveway. I cut about four feet of asphalt and road rock in total. As the attached scan shows, the BM had some discoloration of the coating and a slight amount of coating came off next to the edge. The BM cut through the asphalt with ease and left a nice straight edge. The blade edge where it cut the rock and asphalt was not very sharp after I finished my test. It was not difficult to restore the blade edge to shaving sharpness in a couple of minutes. I do not recommend using a BM for this type of work, but it might be of interest to some of you that it CAN be used (misused?) for very tough job if it is necessary.

Pretty wild looking grass in the Pic....what is it? radioactive?

I think this one might top the "wrought iron chopping" test.

Busse Combat, standard issue for road crews everywhere.....
