Can anyone tell me if there is any difference, (besides the black, ceramic coating), between the combat grade and presentation grade Battle Mistresses?

I think you're right, for the most part. The presentation version is polished and probably even MORE attention is paid to the overall construction to give a knife that doesn't preform any better but just looks a lot nicer. Althought I can't explain the $200 price difference.
