I have an old FRN Endura that I love. At just 3 oz (86 grams), it enables me to carry a large folder clipped to my pocket, in a pocket, in waistband or in a jacket pocket and truly forget that it's there until I need it.

Question: What are your other flyweight faves? Looking for quality folders not smaller than, say, a Delica. Now, I don't just mean plastic handled knives, but really lightweights.

I gotta say, my Fallkniven U2. It is an amazing knife, as well as my Calypso, Jr. My Mnandi is very light weight, and definately one of my favorites.

AG Russell FeatherLite, at 1.5 oz. Secure lock, easy to operate one-handed, and thin design allows for comfortable pocket carry.

Not a folder, but my EDC for work is an AG Russell Hunters Scalpel at 8/10ths of an ounce.

I like the Endura, but at 3 oz, it's obese compared to these.

I used to have a Benchmade 530...i think it was 1.8 ounces. It was OK, great for when wearing dress pants...but i wanted something more heavy duty so i sold it.

I would have to second the A.G. Russell Featherlite. It is probably my most commonly carried EDC. It carries well in either jeans or slacks. Another bargain is the KaBar Dozier if you want a pocket clip. It's hard to beat for around $20.

Another vote to the A.G. Russell Featherlite. Literally dissapears, I've acually gone out with it in my pocket and when an opportunity presented itself (ie cutting things in the yard/cardboard) i'd say to myself "dang, I should've brought a knife."

Microtech mini socom is super lite and very easy to carry. I believe it's just under 2.5oz.. In comparison with the endura, its actual edge lenth is almost identical. This is a small knife, but not too small. It is very capable.

The lightest full-size knife I own is an Al Mar Eagle Ultralight: slim 4" blade, black micarta scales, no liners, front lock, reversible clip, 2.0 oz.

I think that the Endura will be hard to beat.

But IMHO the "king of the lightweights" is the Spyderco Pacific Salt.

Well, the Spyderco Native weights in at around 2.7 oz. The new Delica 4 tips the scales at 2.5 oz.

I've got a CRKT M16 carbon fibre that weighs in at 1.6oz. Not a real big guy, but you really don't notice it at all when you carry it.

Well, there's A.G. Russell's Ultimate Pen Knife, William Henry Kestral and Lancet, Tim Herman Sliver, Some others that escape my mind at the moment as well. There's a lot out there for the person seeking something lightweight.

My lightest full size is also my newest, a Peter Marzitelli 'Digger'. I'd guess 3-3.2 ounces. I don't have a scale and I don't feel like driving to the supermarket produce aisle to check. :p

This thing is super lightweight for its size. The blade is 1/8'' and the liners are 1/16'' which lightens the whole package. I was a little worried about durability but is seems immensely strong. It's 7 7/8" OAL with a 3 1/2" CPM S30V blade. The handles are tan canvas micarta with tortiose shell style came. The blade has a killer bronze satin finish.

The Benchmade 530 at 1.88 oz can not be surpassed for toughness and cutting ability. And it has the axis lock.
I did not expect much when I got it for $35 on the bay but for the past 2 years it has been completely dependable and fun to carry.

Wow that Digger is beautiful, what kind of lock does it have?

Another vote for the A.G.Russell featherlite!

Keep your nose in the wind, your eyes on the skyline.

Katsu - The Digger has liner lock. Snaps open tight. :)

I gotta check out this Featherlite. Sounds pretty nice.

Shame on you people for making me buy yet another knife! ;)

My favorite is my Buck Mayo, weighs in at 2.7 oz. My two mini-Grips (Cabelas D2 and Ritter) weigh about the same.

That's another reason why the FeatherLite deserves a huge  , anyone can afford one. It won't be a financial hardship, especially compared to some of the other knives listed above. The FeatherLite is $35 - $50 depending on your steel choice. And the Hunters Scalpel ( eight-tenths of a freakin' ounce!! ) is practically free, about $20. The Ka-Bar Dozier that someone else mentioned is also about $20. Heck, buy one of each for under $100 including shipping, and call it your Birthday present.

No one's mentioned another  for the FeatherLite, the options. It's available in two different steels and two different blade shapes. It's also available with a kydex neck sheath for $15 extra.
