I am looking for hand-and-a-half, two-handed (claymores in particular), and viking swords. I have noticed people talking about Del Tin, CAS Iberia, Lutel, Kris, etc. I am wondering which of these companies makes the better quality/most durable sword. My price range is not as high as to purchase from armor.com. Does anyone have the Crusader's Sword from CAS Iberia? Who makes the better quality/most durable claymore from these companies? All comments are welcome.

The term "Battle-Ready" has been much used and abused. Any item can be taken into a fray. The question is how will it perform it's intended task and will it survive. IMHO, the swords firms you mention are at the entry level for such. Del Tin and Lutel have good reputations. Kris is also an option although somewhat less historical. Another option is to go over to http://www.swordforum.com/ and keep an eye out for a "pre-owned" Albion or Angus Trim sword. These are high performance blades and you can pick them up at excellent prices.
