I received my first Combat Companion today, which has many great options, such as a practical Single Hilt, which is made of Nickel Silver, along with a Stag handle that would make my dad proud (and jealous). The Black/Silver spacers and radiused butt cap are icing on the proverbial cake.

I've been in "Combat Companion as camp knife" mode since Chris Stanaback posted the photo of his knife on the RKS website a week or two ago. This adds more fuel to the fire. Maybe I'm gonna have to do some serious thinking about doing something like this down the line.

Nice to see stag stag and not ironwood stag, too. I've been hearing some scary things about the supply of nice stag drying up lately, though RMK seems to have laid in a pretty good supply. Still, the last time I talked to GTR, he gave me the number of his stag supplier, and they laughed at me when I told them what I wanted. You want a stag knife? Maybe you ought to think about ordering it now. Just a word to the wise.

--------------------

I don't think so, It is RMK policy NOT to reveal our suppliers...

Sorry to burst your bubble, Scott, but he did indeed give me Ann's number.

Look, you may or may not like me. I may or may not like you. But don't call me a liar or a bullshitter, because that's one thing I'm not.

Jeff,

Sheffeild Knife Supply is a local retailer in Central Fl, and although very nice and knowledgeable people, they are simply would not able to supply RMK with what we need. But we definitely would (and do) recommend them to the everyday customers looking for a piece of CW that we do not carry from time to time. Sorry to offend you, that was not my intentions, however, I felt I had to call you on your comment regarding RMK suppliers as we get daily calls on all of our materials from the steel on down to the leather washers...which we provide to NO ONE, even our dealers...

I was not aware of the "common" dislike for each other, but your implications to be "in the know" did rub me a little...

Not a bullshitter? I just want to know if you have told Gary Randall that Randall Made Knives was using inferior steel relative to other makers? I mean, anyone in the know in the knifemaking business is aware of that, according to you.

Man up Jeff. did you tell him?

I'd rather appreciate nice Stag than argue, so I am closing this thread. After all, life is too short to argue about Stag.
