I received my battlerat last friday. The first thing I would like to say is that seeing the pictures is not the same as seeing it in real life. The blade is truely amazing.

I would like to post some pictures, but I don't have a server to u/l my pictures to. can anyone help with this?

kdleung,

If you want, e-mail me your pictures, and I'll see what I can do about putting them up. Send them in the largest resolution you can, so I can optimize them for posting.

My e-mail is in my profile.

Thanks for replying. I thought no one was interested in seeing a camo painted battle rat.

I'll send my pics right now.

Camo Battle Rat! Why didnt you say so before?? Bring on the pics!!

Thor

I sent my camo colored battlerat picture to _ender. It will be posted shortly.

I have a question about battlerats. Are all of them clip-point blades? Are all of them double edged at the tip (the penetrator tip) ?

Not like yours. The penetrator tip is not a double edge, only a point at the tip.

:D:D

Nice!

I used my battlerat today to chop fallen wood from a bay wood tree. Bay wood is very common in california. It's supose to be a pretty decent choice of wood to make a primative fire using the hand drill method.

It took around 1 or 2 swings of my battlerat (depending on how thick the wood was) to chop the bay wood in half. However, after a few swings (around 4) I noticed that my edge had mushroomed in one spot and dented in another.

I read that you can steel out mushrooms and/or dents. But how exactly do I do this? What tools do I need to purchase to do this on my own?

I use a cheap butcher's steel, about $2.50 as part of a cheap set.

The instructions that ive read online says that I should only use the weight of the blade to steel the edge. Will this be enough to re-align the mushroom back in place? Seems like I'll have to use some force on the mushroom porton.

When was a camo version of the Battle Rat released. Or I suppose more importantly is it still available? I did a search for camo in this forum but came up with nothing on the BR....

I've heard nothing about it either, and Eric seems to be rather quiet on the matter too ;) C'mon Eric, Spill the beans!!! I want one with Tac handles!!!!

Kris,
Let me know if you have problems with the edge, it should come right back with the steeling.

Everyone else,
I don't tell everyone about everything we do ;)
And don't email me, we are not currently offering this type of pattern on the regular production stuff

:D:D

i do but.....

i had to get one of these, it's a brand new photo process that unlike a laser, shoots or blasts the image on to the target, using a method like a dentist x-ray machine.

the rat sword i saw has an ancient japanese design on it, very cool!!

i think we have just see our first radioactive RAT
