it must be cull as hell they way they kept touching the edge for dramatic effect.
I think you're right Rebeltf. I taped it last night and rewatching the opening few minutes, it sure looks like some variation of the William Henry model "Rio". Of course without the damascus. If it is a WH, they sure beat it up hard to look battle-tested.

I find this series refreshing because it's not about lasers and hyperdriving around the universe, it uses tried and true technology. Bullet firing guns, missiles, nukes and knives. When was the last time you saw someone whip out a pocket folder and cut something on Star Trek? (It probably would have been a Klingon anyway)
There have been a few uses of different knives on this show. I like it!
