Just got this today, been paying it off. Thought I was quick on the draw, got #81, I blame time lag from Ohio to Cali ;)

Nice and sharp, beautiful work, but does the blade width seem thinner than other mistresses? My NMFBM is off for cleaning, so I can't compare hand in hand right now. I dunno, just seems kinda skinny to me.

Awesome knife! The SHBM is a great knife, great handle combo to go with the satin finish!

Yes. It's definately a tiny bit thinner, that's one of the reasons keeping me from getting one.

Are those scuff marks all over the blade?. I'm on my iphone so it's hard to tell.

I've been looking at pics, the ones with no choil definitely are wider, would have ordered one oh those if I'd have known... The one Jerry posted as an example is different, too:

No, it's the sanding swirls from the satin process. You can see those on any satin blade if the light hits it just right, the reason I think they call it satin instead of high polish.

Sorry, it was the battletrough, not bloodbath :o

I'm talking about the width, not thickness Skrap.

So...you can have Busse hang on to your orders after they are finished and have them wait to send it until it is paid off?

Almost every custom shop or LE blade I've owned/seen seems to be a modification or "fix" of a standard offering/configuration. I think the production knives that get dinged at the shop get walked over to the Custom shop for some special love tweaking and sell as a limited/rare variant. They all come with the same warranty, so there's no worry there, just good business savvy.

Congrats on the rare blade!!!

I think the angle of the photos makes the depth appear different, Dan. If you measure, I bet it comes in very close to 2". Mine does.
I haven't gotten my choil less cg yet but I doubt there will be a difference.

A piece of steel gets made into a knife. What the piece of steel looked like before being turned into a knife shouldn't matter. Dan I'm not sure if it's just yours or if all le choiled versions are like that, if you aren't happy with it though, I'm sure the shop will take care of you.

That is a nice looking knife - the grips look great with the satin finish!

The blade width was listed as 2", and mine is 1 3/4" wide just in front of the choil.

I learned a long time ago to be careful when looking at knife photos, especially when they are at an angle other than straight on (not perpendicular to the blade surface) - an angle other than 90 degrees can make a knife appear different than it really is.

Congratulations on your cool looking knife!

Such a classic romper stomper look to her. That sure is a sweet look. I love the scales and that swedge.

Congratulations!! LOVE that color combo with the LE Satin!!!!!!!
