Bay area hogspitality...

well, just got back from meeting up with some bay area busseholics and i don't mind saying i had a great evening. ban, gimmejr, and norcal hunter showed up and even though it's only been one short week since i met them in eugene it was great to see them again. ban brought evolute and hogwash with him and i got to put two more faces with names. i don't mind saying that between a couple of blade wests, the eugene show, and tonight that every friggin' busse fan i've met has been a helluva nice guy.

we met up at a shushi bar (i know, "we have sushi where i come from, we call it bait") that gimmejr set up that has private rooms, and it made a great venue for these guys to break out their infi. since i flew down, i didn't have squat with me. the poor waitress was a little bit bug eyed at first, especially when she saw hogwash's baninated AK lightsaber, but she warmed right up. ban will hate me for saying this, but she did say that she liked his "little" one the best

total pleasure to see the guys from eugene again, and to meet a couple more new (to me anyway) guys. thanks a lot for making me feel welcome in your neck of the woods, i'm looking forward to coming down here again soon.

Good to see you again and to meet Evolute for the first time and of course Ban, Dan and Rich were as always a delite.
You didnt tell them about the chopping competition we hand in the restaurant though.

Wow, the ultimate chopper blew my mind.

I used it to cut some bamboo and it went through like butter. After that, another section of my arm was shaved (very close).

Ban says he's making another that's going to be nearly twice as thick.

Sounds like a hell of a good time. I wish I could find a restaraunt that would let me compare Busses with my friends. The ones I go to get a little upset when I pull out my skeleton key to cut my steak with.

HA!!!! There are still a few places here that sheeple don't own.

Private ranches and BLM are probably the only places we can do that sort of stuff. And of course someones own personal backyard. But even then that is Iffy depending where you live. The neighbors may call the cops thinking their is a samurai showdown

Man the more I think about it.... The more I want to move to Oregon!

How about we come over to your house to do the chopping

I still go out into the Cuyamacas and there's plenty of forrest out north north east of Los Angeles....you just have to hike out a little ways to go at it. Won't hurt to help thin some growth

since we no longer let fires do it like it's supposed to be

Plus, it's not hard to find some downed trees
