'bay' damascus knives?

Anybody ever check out the bay's Damascus fixed blade knives? They always seem to go for around $50ish... don't know much about it, but kind of want one. What do you guys think?

I'm no steel expert, but I would be very wary of cheap "Damascus". I think just some acid-etching can produce Damascus-looking metal. If you want something to look at, that might be sufficient. But I wouldn't necessarily expect it to behave like real modern Damascus.
