I posted these pics in the Sunday Picture thead this week but thought a separate thread might be fun for those who are interested but didn't see the picture thread. Also, a separate thread might be a good place for any information people want to exchange on these, like the recent Buckmaster thread.

I bought this in 1987 or 1988 at Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine. You can see the price tag on the box end in one of the pictures. Run a CPI check and it looks like the price would be just about double today, adjusted for inflation in the CPI!

As you can see, it was not purchased with any practical use in mind, and in fact has never been used, in spite of its many design features. :)

Great knife, and very nice pictures! I really love the price! :D

Yeah...looks like MSRP back then was $125. :eek: KTP still sells Buck knives. :thumbup: Blades like this are a little to one side of their usual stock. Not too many calls for bayonets when hunting white tails or black bears. :D
 
I've held this model and it is quite substantial and would make a survival knife . Bikers like it as well . Nice photos Newell . DM
