Hey guys I'm trying to decide on my next user knife, I'm a security guard and I'm looking for a waved knife. I'm currently looking at the Black Bear Knives Guardian, Southern Grind Bad Monkey, and the Emerson Cqc-11 maybe the cqc-15. I have a currently for work an Endura 4 w/ wave but I'm interested in something new to carry around. Any feed back would be appreciated, I haven't found much info on the southern grind or the black bear knives, particularly comparing the knives.
The black bear guardian I can get in either s30v or Ats-34, and for the price I'm looking at it as my first choice, but I would like some feed back before shelling out $200 for a knife.

Of your choices I'd take the Southern Grind. I have no experience with the Black Bear but greatly prefer the Bad Monkey to the Emerson. Emerson makes a fine knife but I hate those rough scales. I've had a Southern Grind since they hit the market and I just love it. Carries so easy for such a large knife, so light. And it looks damn good. Blade steel is basic but good. Takes a proprietary pivot and screw tool but they are cheap to buy with the knife so no biggie.

Do you actually know where to find a CQC-11? Even if you decide on one of the others, buy it and resell - TOUGH to find one.

Thank you bigfatts got the information, and as for finding a cqc-11 there are actually many sites that still have it in stock. Google search in 5 pages and I found 3, for it's rarity in finding since its been discontinued, I was looking at getting it so I could have one before all the online retailers were out.
