Here are some pork ribs I did the other night. Of all the BBQ sauces I have tried, I found that I like "Rudy's Bar BQ" the best. I have to have it shipped from Texas, but it is worth it. What have you found out there you like? You never know when there is a small home town place that makes a great product, so I thought I would ask.

Dammit Ducci!!!!!!!! You're making me hungry!! Do you cater?!! FEDEX next day perhaps?!!

Brother's Gold. There from somwhere out of Texas. That looks like some great eats!

Looking good! I'll take it!

Do you do some slow and low cooking first, or grill the whole way?

I love making ribs but almost never buy BBQ sauce - I usually make mine from scratch. Nothing beats some ribs slow smoked for 4 or 5 hours, slathered in fresh made BBQ sauce spiced up with hot peppers you grew yourself.

me too. actually the dry rub is the trick to good pork. then a great sauce.... yum:thumbup:

If you want to try a rub with no sauce go with Bad byron's butt rub! Smoke them boys with a good coating of butt rub and they are delicious!

There was a BBQ sauce in Idaho called Devil's Spit I believe. It was delicious. Recently I have been using some BBQ sauce from walmart as a base for me to make my own sauce. I like to use the same ingredients in my sauce that I used in my rub as well as what I injected into the meat. This is more for pork shoulders and butts instead of ribs, but I would do the same for ribs minus injecting a concoction of juices and flavors.
Here is a pork shoulder from earlier this year.

Man !!! that looks so goooooood!!!:thumbup:

Another one for Sweet Baby Rays

Although at work we use a Honey BBQ Mustard called Cattleman's (or something similar) that I find very tasty on wings

Rudy's rocks... no doubt about it. Another fantastic BBQ joint that sells their sauce is the "SALT LICK"... Their location is really in the middle of nowhere, Driftwood, TX... sort of southwest of Austin and north of San Antonio... but the food is so good people drive from all around to eat there. http://www.saltlickbbq.com/

Looks like they have opened up some more locations... hmmm...

Rudy's is the best BBQ, and BBQ Sauce, I have ever had.

I consider it a lucky coincidence that I've lived in Austin and near a few Rudy's.

I took some of the sauce to Japan with me and it was a huge hit over there.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Rudy's.

;)

(the ribs look fantastic, btw)
