BBSHSH Ignoramus???

With all the recent posts on this knife, my curiousity is getting the better of me and I wonder:

Am I the only one here who does not clamor for one of these?

Don't get me wrong- A2 or INFI, they look like great knives. I just can't see what void (as a user) in my paltry collection they would fill that is not already filled by some other knife. Please, no flames--I'm just trying to figure out what I am overlooking.

Yea, Some folks love the older style Busse s
Many go nuts when one pops up on the exchange or if someone asks for an estimated value.
I for one prefer a few other Busse blades before I want one of those.
Don't get me wrong it's a super nice blade but a lot of people just want to hoard these old school Busse s for collecting purposes or to finish off their Straight Handle line up.
I can't blame anyone that clamors to get their paws on one of these, because technically it' s a piece of Busse history and the fact that are not too many around.
I'll take a Straight Handle Battle Mistress please. .

I have held, and used, a couple and they are awesome. But, I have to agree that I'd rather save the $$$ these knives demand and put that towards a few other Busses. More bang for the buck IMHO. But, yeah, they are works of art. :D
 
Well I love my SHBM. That one will never leave, but it doesn't mean I'm ever going to get rid of my FBM LE either. So I can definitely accept some usage overlap, but between a few NOs and some SH Protos on the way, I'm just not feelin' the love for that BBSHSH II.


I'm going to try something different here (read as a shameless solicitation):

If anyone has a user that they would send me for say a week or two use, I'll pay for shipping, insurance, etc. to and fro. Let me try it, and I'll take some pics in use and do a little review. I also won't obviously do anything crazy. Also, in return, if you want, I will send my SHBM user and you can have some fun with her. Shipping for that would be on you, or we could just pay for shipping whatever knife we are sending out and call it even. Serious offer here, maybe I will get lucky. And if trust is an issue, go look at how many people I've done business with here in the GB&U.
