Hi good people,I'm cross posting this from the "for sale" area, just in case some only wanted to have a look-see ;)
here's my latest one,it's so fresh it's still bleeding (yeah , i'm a funny guy ,ain't I lol)...anyway,here are the specs: O/A 292mm (11 1/2") fighter, gorgeous Randy Haas feather Damascus,(gold makers mark inlay),full tang, bronze bolsters, liners and pins, Turkish walnut burl slabs, stainless "stitches" ...the hand laced sheath is leather with croc hide, fully lined with kangaroo skin, vertical carry belt loop.It features a recess for the handle and it's "hinged" so it sits in safely without the need for safety strap(it will not come out when upside down) yet allows for quick deployment
The knife is pretty sharp and pointy(fully HTed)and it's about as close to double edged it can be without actually being double edged (to keep it legal in most places),but it wouldn't take much at all to put a keen edge on the spine...the blade itself has minimal distal taper,I've kept the ridge pretty much same thickness nearly all the way to keep the piercing tip strong. The balance point is just about where the bolster meets the handle,so I tad bottom heavy, but that's how I like my fighters(imo it sits better in the hand like that) but all in all,it's pretty light, smooth and fast in all positions.
As usual with my knives,it is 100% handmade (using mainly handheld tools),original one-of-a-kind ,with no repeats ,and except for the dama stock, rest of the package sole autor is yours truly It will come with moulded, felt lined case and a COA ..
This piece has tons of character and soul in the hand that I just can't properly capture on camera, and while i have done more elaborate pieces than this in the past, this one is one of my favourite so far..
Any questions, or anything at all, pls don't hesitate to shoot me a line on bccustomknives@hotmail.com
Cheers
Brian

Yes, the knife is really interesting and different.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen, much appreciated ;) ...I guess different is something I've always strived for ;)

Although I'm pretty sure we disagree on most other things, wrt your approach to making knives there is common ground and this piece proves it.
Nice, outside the box work, done very well.

WOW. You took the 'wavy' theme and ran all the way from the butt to the tip with it.

Randy's steel is SO captivating, and you made the most of it.

VERY sweet. Thanks for showing us.

Very stylish and really shows off that beautiful Damascus. For presentation at least, I think I like the sheath as much as the knife.

Great package!

Different and very appealing
