We head off down the trail at about 12:00. Myself, Bushman5, Switchblade61, and a new member SPD. About 10 minutes In bushman starts sniffing rapidly. His head snaps around and cocks sideways as he inhales a deep breath. honing in on the source. the group sighs "Not again" before he takes off prancing through the woods foaming at the mouth with a deranged smile on his face. "My precious!" he whispers to himself before chomping into a piece and quickly chewing his "life juices" before we round the corner.

Redwood arbutus tree. Quite a rare tree, I've only seen them on rocky bluffs near saltwater. Mostly along the golf islands of BC. Apparently the bark can be made into a tea for urinary tract ailments. "Is it good tea" "No, its bark. It tastes like bark."

Completely unrelated to anything we did. But I just found it on the interwebs, and found it amusing.

great pics man... nice score on the fatwood... thanks foe sharing...

i think you guys should have taken a few more knives...:o

can't wait till i have a car again so i can come join you fellas the next time around.

looks like theres enough fatwood there to divy up amongst the four of you quite nicely :)

That steel was all you took? Man, I EDC more than that :p

Nice score on the fatwood. Looks like a good time

nice fatwood find:cool:
all good knife porn
to bad you guys don't have enough knives to survive "Nature"
oh well some deranged Ranger 'll find your bones in the spring

if you have that many photos , you must at least have a few more:eek:

come on....
buzz

speaking of bones........

we found a rather suspicious looking `tarped`bundle lying on the ground in the woods....

it was just over body length and width........

on the way out i had to look......

noticed a rather bad odor as i unwrapped several layers of the tarp. Pushed on the tarp and it felt solid, yet squishy. Kinda got that feeling in the pit of my stomach. Kept on cutting away layers of plastic, didn`t find anything, but that tarp sure was out of place. There had been a murder of a woman last year in this park, and it wouldn;t surprise me if there was more bodies in the park...........

thankfully there was nothing in the tarp. still didn;t explain the off odor though.....

Nice pics guys. Always cool to see forests I am more or less familiar with.

Nice bunch of knives as well :thumbup:

Good to see more knife knuts in BC :p

Dang, wish I came out for this one. Trucks going into the shop hopefully this week, so I'll be out next time.

I like that the BC crew continues getting bigger:D

Looks like a real fun trip. Thanks for the great pics. Very little snow where you guys were,it seems. And a nice fatwood score in the end.

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for some on my next outing.

What a pretty setting for a fatwood hunt! Gorgeous views you guys have. And of course, it's perfect that four people managed to bring like 10 pounds of knives in with them, hahaha.
