TONS OF PHOTOS about to be posted. Give me about 5 - 7 spaces to post all of them

Last weekend, my final weekend beofre switching to 2 on, 1 off, 3 on, 1 off work days, I jumped into the truck and headed WEST up the Sea to Sky highway to Squamish BC canada. (one of my REGULAR stomping grounds). Ripped up the Hwy, dry roads, sunshine, and light traffic. TONS of new snow on the glaciers and peaks that tower over our outdoors playground.

The drive up the new (Pre-Olympics) Sea to Sky highway. Beautiful driving conditions, light traffic, GREAT views. BUT, the wind was INSANE.....look at the one pic where signpost is almost horizontal. I burned 25 liters of fuel heading up here. normally I burn about 12 - 15 liters to get to Squamish from vancouver BC. The headwinds were INSANE.

single lane BAILEY bridge. LOGGING TRUCKS have right of way. Most city idiots going camping up here fail to realize that. There is a ton of wrecked cars and SUVS in these parts.

absolute NO GO ZONE. Some of the worst avalanches happen on this peak, Sensors have recorded 200 - 250 KM/H and 100' + deep avalanches up here.

fatwood score!

i was going to rant about this, but I will refrain. This USED to be a forested/logged area 5 Klicks up a mining/logging road, but then the YUPPIES moved in and built townhouses.

EVERY log truck going up or down MUST get on the radio and call in their status. GOING UP, COMING DOWN, at KM 1 2 3 etc etc etc. SMART civvies venturing into these roads are also STRONGLY ADVISED to radio in their status. CB frequency crystals are CHEAP, just get them installed for every road in the area.

thought that area looked familiar.

looks like it was a great day out.

i need to get myself some mullein as well.

sweet pics, man. i see you listened to gonadz regarding toning down the saturation/brightness/sharpness tweaks. before the colors in this pic would've been too harsh to look at, but now it looks very "organic" keep 'em coming!

p.s. turn off that damn date setting on your camera. it ruins the pic  yeah, yeah, we're hard to please aren't we? :D

great pics bushie!

you should see the mullein stock up on saddle road over here on the big island...puts that patch to shame! :) im glad to see you back on your feet.

Awesome photos and great choice of knives. The Cold Steel R-1 in San Mai is a blade for serious work

Looks like a great trip! There's something special about a road journey taken alone. Mind, body & soul all at peace, soaking in the landscape. Thanks for sharing.
