bc1 question?

Does the BC1 coating on the benchmades have a very high gloss to it that takes away the lines of the blade.The kershaw chive with the coating looks to shiny almost plastic looking.Pictures in the light would help.

I just looked at my Kershaw Chive & compared it to my 690BC1. The Chive's blade is a deeper black color has more of a shine to it.
The BC1 isn't as shiney (spelling?) & is almost like a dark charcoal grey color, but not black.

Boron carbide is somewhat translucent, so its appearance depends on the finish of the blade it is applied to. The chive was high polished and then coated, so its shiny. My BC coated Tachyon has a stonewash finish underneath, so it is much less shiny.
