The BCC532 fund raising knives are completed and they are very special!! I love the looks of the desert ironwood inlays and the outline in white of an anvil (like the 2002 year mark) looks great. Only one handle side has the anvil outline. The BG-42, satin finished blade is scary sharp and exhibits the Bos logo. A neat touch is the soft leather pocket pouch (tan) with BCCI embossed down one side. We even have some extra pocket pouches which will fit similarly sized knives. I put a 500 Duke in one and it was just about as big a knife as you would want to use in the pouch.
When you consider that only 200 of these were made (non-serialized), this should be a real collector's item very soon. On top of that, the 532 is a wonderful daily carry knife. I bet club members at the Blade Show will snap up the ones which are not yet reserved like hotcakes!!

Hey everyone,

Larry has graciously taken on the task of taking orders for these fundraising 532s for our club at no cost. It's great when all of the proceeds can go straight to the club treasury. Thanks Larry! I have nice picture of the 532 if someone can post it for me.

Buckcustom, email me the pic and I will have it on my server tonight when I get back in a couple of hours.

I got mine today!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very impressed. This is got to be about the nicest knife I've ever seen out of Buck.

It's great to be able to get a Buck with upscale materials and with a drop point (i.e. something I can't get from Pete's).

Great job guys!

Elnath,

Glad to hear you like your 532. We'll be doing more fundraiser knives in the near future. Ya'll let us know what you would like the next knife to be!

Hey John.... since you're asking....

I guess it would be too much to ask for a Buck/Mayo as an upcoming BCCI knife :D so I'll stick to something from the catalog. I realy like the Big Sky - Model 403 and the Alpha Hunters, either folding or straight blade, without the gut hook. Any of these with a upgraded blade and something fancy for the handle would work for me....:p

As a pat on the back, IMHO, the current BCCI Officers and Board are doing one heck of a fine job!!! Makes me proud to be a member and to call some of you "friend!" Keep up the good work!!! ;) :)

An upgraded alpha hunter would be cool....

Just please please please Buck get off of the serrated blade kick....please?

Dan,

Thanks for the pat on the back! And so far the Alpha Hunter is in the lead! I hope we here from a lot more members here. The feedback is just what we need.

Elnath,

I'll see what I can do about the serrations!:)

Danbo,

Email Larry Oden (loden@dka-online.com), he's taking orders for our club. He'll fix you right up.

John,

Just make sure to keep up the good work or the pat on the back might fall below the belt line and end up being a kick in the ***.

Don't forget to take your camera to BLADE. I have a web page already set to host the pictures.... You, Larry, and the rest that are going - have a great show and safe travel!!!! Talk to you when you get back. ;)

Dan,

I've got a digital camera packed and a throw away 35mm just in case. I'll holler at you when I get back and we'll get those pictures up. Thanks for setting up that website! And thanks for the motivation to avoid the good swift kick!

I'd like one of these too if there are any left. Just got my Buck collectors club Lifetime membership. How do I find out?
G.:D

Gary, first I want to WELCOME you to the BCCI. You will find lots of great people and tons of info ahead. As for getting a BCC532, Larry Oden is the man to contact. He is the Vice-President of the club and an authorized Buck Dealer as well. Having been the person who coordinated the sale and delivery of these knives, he would be the one to know if there are any left. I do recall him mentioning that he was taking the extras to the BLADE show in Atlanta this weekend to see if any of the club members there might want one. Email him now (see his post at the top of this page for his email address) so when he gets home next week it will be waiting for him. I am expecting to hear from John Foresman, BCCI President, (from BLADE) sometime tomorrow. If I do, I'll mention to him to have Larry hold one of these for you.

Thanks Dan,
I emailed Larry a day before posting here but I didn't hear back from him. He must've been getting ready for Blade. I'll leave another email and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the help.
G.

Gary,

John did not call as I anticipated so I wasn't able to get a message to Larry for you. I do know that Larry left for Atlanta either late Wednesday night or Thursday which is probably why he didn't respond to your first email. I'm sure he will get back to you as soon as he get in the office.

I got my 532!
Just a note to of thanks to Dan and the group. Larry is back and answered my email. I have a 532 waiting on me. There are some left if anyone else missed out. Can't wait to hold one.
:D G.

Gary,
With only 200 made and the special features offered on the 532, it will be a collectors item very soon. It was designed to be a great using knife and some of us bought one to set aside in our collection and one to use. That will make the knife even more difficult to obtain as soon as they are sold out. People at the Blade show loved the knife. They will probably be sold out in full after the 15 yr. anniversary event in El Cajon next month. Glad you were able to get in on the deal.

My bcc532 already arrived. The scales look even nicer than the photo on this thread. Mine have a more walnut color, but much more grain. I also got two extra pancake sheaths that I plan to use with my y2k 532s. As much as I hate to buy a knife and then not use it, I think I will place the bcc knife into my collection and use the y2k 532, which is also bg-42 steel, when I want to carry this model. The bcc knife is just going to be for my collection, for now anyway.
Thanks Larry for the prompt shipping!
G.:D
