The 112s that have been in the mail were all supposed to be stamped 1988.

Imagine my surprise and delight when I opened mine......

Yes, that's right......

So......with the contemporary frame, Macassar and this stamp......a rare knife.

Did anybody else get one or do I have a one of a kind?

:)

Thanks BG-42 for posting this , recieved my knives yesterday and did not notice the different stamping until I looked again today and my two 112s are like yours with one being different from the other.

Good for you, Driggert.

That stamp is unusual and a nice little bonus.

Now it's two of a kind........anybody else?

:)

I have a 112 due any day now, following a re-blade by Buck.
I'm very curious as to what will arrive in my box.

Thanks for the thread, BG.
Very nice knives!

The one with the '87 stamp seems to have some extra dots, yes? Any idea what's going on there?

Folklore fails us on this one.

It's a fairly rare stamp and some claim that the '87 stamp was stamped over a Four-Dot stamp and some say the stamp is what it is and had a special meaning in some applications and was used by mistake at other times.

I've never heard anybody say that they knew for sure what it's all about.

I'm pleased as punch to have it, whatever it is.

:)

I'd have to take those out in the bush and use them ,they are knives that are begging to be used, just look at em'.LOL

Oh, I think I'll stick with the 1980 Avatar.

:)

I don't think these two 112s will get used......but who knows, they might. Darn pretty, anyhow.

:D

Maybe if you would have bought two?????

:D

I think the total of **>* BCCI 112s for this forum is still two.

Pretty good.

Well I ordered one which is scheduled for delivery by UPS on Tuesday (I'm pretty far from "civilization") Had I an inkling I certainly would have ordered two. I'll post up when it gets here. I wonder how many of the 50 are still out there? Worst case is I'll have one of 48. Congrats to the two who got something even cooler than they expected!
