How did someone already receive their 2015 copper BCCI 112 knife? Have they started shipping? I see it on a big auction site and wasn't aware these had already started shipping to BCCI members.

The seller is in Post Falls ID. and my guess is that it was sold at this weeks sale at the factory. They most likely made a few available for the sale. Just a guess since the manufacturing date is 11-23-15.

If that is the case, then I guess what a BCCI annual knife is when it is referred to as a "members only" knife is "only available to BCCI members at this specific price".

If the scenario described is the case, then maybe Buck Knives should issue the BCCI a disclaimer that the knife may be available to non-BCCI members sooner. I can understand Buck Knives wanting to rid themselves of any excess or unclaimed inventory but shouldn't they wait until BCCI has received their order. I wonder how much the seller paid for this knife.

Maybe the seller is a BCCI member and just picked it up there at the factory since he was there anyway. Just playing the devils advocate. I don't know.

To Trevor, I am not part of the BCCI ordering crew on these knives. I was involved a little on the BG bladed 301s. But, let me ask are the BCCI sold 112 not specially marked ? Is this bay knife a BCCI marked knife ? I am guessing who the seller is and you could ask him your questions and he would not be offended.

The BCCI 301s were made in a total number we guessed we could sell. Half marked and half not marked on scales. Well, I was humbled when my big talk on how they would sell was not met. We started will limited sales and in the end just opened it up to anyone who wanted one to get rid of them. The club pays for these when in hand. Any stock on BCCI club shelves comes out of the club pocket, so we always try to guess really, really close on the numbers that will sell. I think only a hand full of Buck factory overruns occurred during that operation. When the club contracts for its knives, if overruns occur they generally are not specially marked as a BCCI knife. If you need more info on this I can contact club VP Larry Oden who knows all the ins and outs of these operations. 300

i was in the first group in the door at the factory sale and the only copper knives were 110. They had one 112 with stainless and cherry wood was all.

For what its worth the BCCI 112's were shipped out a a couple weeks ago. Don't know if the Club has started shipping them yet...

It's nice to have someone chime in that knows the facts. Much appreciated.:thumbup:

Hengem,
Fair enough. Since the BCCI knives have already been shipped to BCCI then, like I stated, I understand Buck Knives' need to sell the excess inventory. Thanks for clearing up the situation and I look forward to receiving my BCCI copper 112!

The BCCI Members Only 112s were shipped today to members via USPS Priority Mail. I would think that most members will receive them by Monday. The 112 that is on the auction site did not come from the club. No clue how they got it.
