BCCI 2025 Annual Knife released: 501 Squire, burgundy Micarta, S30V blade, brass bolsters for the first time on the 501 (at least that is how I interpreted their description), black leather sheath. Limited Edition: 90

I am not a little knife guy but this is a nice little knife and the annual knife to boot. I have one on order.

I am not sure why the scales continue being called “burgundy Micarta”? I would think that a better description would be “burgundy burlap Micarta”?

It is a very Beautiful knife! Too bad that I don’t have the scratch to get it.

5 years ago you could buy essentially the same knife (nickel silver bolsters) for 1/2 that price.
I know, the price of everything is going up.
But I question my "need" at this time.

Need? Definitely not. I have two really nice 501 already. Both are barehead, clip, and MagnaCut. Those are the Larrin and the Elk BCCI 35th. I carried the elk today. I don't have any burgundy micarta. Brass bolsters, drop point, and burgundy micarta in a nicely pocketable size should be a winner. Now, I just have to wait for mine to arrive.
