All is well @ the Buck Factory Store. I did a little shopping this AM: two discontinued 580BKS $20 each, one Duke 500RWS $23.85, one white/brown large Bantam 286cms11 $15.75, the very last discontinued X-Tract red 730rdx $10, one (and this was the only one in the store) 424bks blemish (uneven grind) $11.50, four cool Buck pens $2/pen and two bandaid dispensers with Buck logo nc. I showed my BCCI card @ the point of purchase for terrific discounting.

I was lucky to meet Veteran & BCCI member Bill Bowen outside the factory and had a substantial talk. What a pleasure to meet such an admirable fellow and resident Idahoan. I hope to see him again when the activities begin tomorrow evening.

The factory museum is worth the trip. I took photos of all the displays. Exciting for me.

Sorry no pics. Just the iPad, typing with one finger, so photos when I return. Update: I figured out how to post photos with the iPad & luckily my clever wife has a camera memory chip carrier to fit it so photos follow below.

Went to lake cour d lane & enjoyed its fresh, clean and ample beauty.

Thanks for the update!!

I'll be there today. I finished hiking in Glacier yesterday and drove to a $15.00 campground near Ronan, MT. It had showers and was only 178 miles from Post Falls.

Really looking forward to these next four days!! :)

I am happy that you are making your way to this neck of the woods. I have some stuff for you.

My very first visit to Post Falls & Buck helped to take the edge off of my excitement, bot some cutlery, so I was able to sleep good last night. The museum is like wading thru a gold mine of historic cutlery with excellent knives galore. The lovely store clerk said that she had spoken with Joe in hope that more models, 124 Frontiersman foe example, would be available to members this week. There is competition for knives between the store & shipping.

The question I had from BCCI members was how to get market value information for their collection of new vintage knives. You can help by showing them how to advance search finished auctions for their models. Dave, can you please phone in a seminar for the members?

I visited a handful of pawn shops here in Post Falls. All had Buck knives. The fellow @ 502 had some collector items that he brought out from the back to show me. Notice the nesting Osprey (fish hawks) on top the nearby high pole (one of several nesting Osprey pairs in town.

The North Idaho Centennial Trail, bike run walk, runs from Spokane to Core D Lain ( right thru Post Falls situated between those two cities) so you can do some leg work right here. I walked about 5 miles on it yesterday & I plan the same this AM. Watch for the marmots. I had seen moose near Cheney & asked a Post Falls resident where to go to see more. She told me that a moose cleared the playground at her young son's school here in Post Falls! Moose are not unusual here.

Find the well-paved trail/path just across the freeway, 90, from the Mirabeau hotel in Spokane near the Spokane River and it runs parallel to the freeway as far as I've seen it.

I've met some people I know and lots I didn't know yet.

Exciting times!!

Scott...hope this helps for starters. :)

The BCCI show starts tonight with a meet & greet, then dinner.

The silver/gold Buck Collector buckles are here, at the sign-in at the Mirabeau Hotel, to be picked up so I have mine right now. Beautiful, shiny and rich.

I've never posted photos from the road before & don't have the skill with the iPad that is with me to work with posting pics. I usually use a Dell desktop to work editing & forum posting of photos.

Factory tour tomorrow 8:30. Dinner cruise on Couer d' Alene tomorrow evening. I bot the DVD, to be produced, of all of this week's seminar since some were already full.

Hi Guy's,

Thanks for the pictures and the updates on whats going on , I'm living vicariously right now , wish I was there .

You would love it to be here. I couldn't have fallen into deeper clover. The finest people I will ever know are here now in person & in spirit. I've met tree top tall Stumps, his lovely friend Cindy, erudite 300bucks camera on a stick Craig, hill-top high Haebbie forum members. What a thrill worth the trip. I've talked with about ten different collectors from all over the country and really enjoyed the comradery.

Tomorrow morning 7:30 the store opens early with special build outs for members (usually opens 9:30). Then enhanced factory tour @ 8:30. Dinner cruise in the evening.

Thursday knife swap.

I'm getting the DVD of all seminars to take place because of timing conflicts with live attendance.

Friday lunch at Chuck Buck's home.

I figure about 300 attended tonight's terrific banquet.

What fun. I couldn't be more tickled.
