Anyone know the dates and if this is happening. I want to start planning and figuring out what trout streams I will fish when I'm out there! Thanks

I'll be in for fishing Mike. I wish I could post pics. I'd show some of the bamboo rods and nets I've built. Soon to have matching buck knives with them.

Pete

The BCCI 30th Anniversary get together in Post Falls Idaho is July 24th thru the 27th 2018.

Pete,

I would love to see some of your Rods and nets:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:And catch a nice westslope Cutt on one:D:D I make my own priest out of KOA wood, you would think I would have a picture of one but I don't :(.
Mike

It would be great if we could all go a day early and all of us from here get together for dinner or bowling or something the evening before. Or a fish off?
What do you all think? Any ideas or suggestions? How many are going to have their wives with them? Maybe we can plan something special for them as well thanking them for taking the time to go with us and supporting our hobby. Just some ideas.

Who else is from here is planning on attending?

Hard to come up with an excuse not to go if you live in the US when Herbert can make it all the way from Germany.

Distance to Post Falls from Germany 4,900 miles
From St Louis 1,500 miles

Fishing if its nice out, bowling if its raining. Either way, a round or two of bourbons:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: 2,105 miles from Cleveland, OH to Post Falls, I'm used to 1700 to my favorite trout waters in WY....

If there's time, book a jet boat ride and fish through Hells Canyon near Lewiston ID on the snake river.

More than likely it will be near 100 degrees with little to no humidity. I only fish early mornings.

KathyJo and I are looking at a 2 week train pass to travel there from Florida but the logistics and reservations required are complicated. We might end up driving in my Honda Fit as it really gets 40 plus MPG. The costs are about the same either way. Road Trip!

Ah...The battery is draining ,a short someplace . The driver's window quit and worst of all the airconditioning is intermittent at best. .For a 2005 Crown Vic Sport, even with bucket seats and all possible options I'd rather take the Fit. Now don't get me wrong all the issues will be fixed by spring but for a 6,000 mile trip the Fit

You would need transportation to a couple of the activities such as the dinner cruise and the get together at Lori Bucks place if they do that again as well as to the Buck factory for the many classes, sales, and tour.
Most likely could catch a ride with someone if needed.

Details not settled but format still the same, opening night at hotel as a meet and greet maybe displays of collections, then during days factory for tours, talks, sales, exhibits, etc. Then at least one evening at hotel for speaker and knife trading and then cruise on lake one evening and Miss Lori's picnic at her house to wrap things up. This is just a overview without details from what I have been told. At least one lunch at Buck factory with Frisbee plates. Lots of 'Bold Talk' , I may bring a stool to sit on. Always lots of available rides to and from events. Even across the highway to visit Cabelas. (Details subject to change) Stay tuned for BCCI Newlsetter in December for beginning official details. You will have plenty of time and info to network with Forum and BCCI members to make sure you get where your going. We can start a thread a month or so ahead to discuss .... 300
