Hey guys (and gals). I'd like to urge all members to check out the BCCI web site and join in. There's seems to be some renewed interest in Member Topics and the more the merrier.

Come on over, check it out and participate. It's our web site and it will only be as good as we make it.

I'm there buddy. I noticed alot more activity recently. I was going to post yesterday at work, but it looks like pics have to come from the hard drive/program files rather than photobucket. Is that true, I didnt try. Figgered I'd post last night but ended up going to the Penguins game.

You're right Kev. It's much easier to post pictures there, no Photobucket or anything needed. The pictures are limited to 450 pixels wide but you just load them direct from your own computer. I can see where that might be an issue for those who post using their smart phone or someone elses computer.

I'll try to post a picture there using the same method used here (with PhotoBucket) and see if it works.

I'll be sure to post there Dave!

Cool! We're looking forward to your posts.

Remember guys, on that site when new posts are made in a thread, they don't get bumped to the top. You have to scroll down and look for the latest dates of postings to see if any new ones are there. It's awkward but perhaps an upgrade can be done soon.

Don't forget to scroll down and look at the auction for the latest donated knife for the Youth Program.

Well, I'll try it too. Let's spend new life into the BCCI web site.

Best,
Haebbie

I hope its doable cause I only have access to my pics on photobucket when I'm at work.

I couldnt get it to see pictures from photobucket ..and I had to resize the three I posted

Yep, I just tried it and it doesn't work. I tried a direct link, it isn't clickable but if you copy and paste it you will go direct to the picture in Photobucket.

Wow,

What a pain in the can! I had to save a copy of my photobucket photo to my PC. Then I started a new album in photobucket and saved the photo to the new album and resized it in the new album. Then saved it back to the PC and up-loaded to the BCCI site.

I've done some what the same, but I skipped one step. I saved copies from photobucket direct to a new folder on my PC desk top and resized them there.

From now on, when I resize the photos for Photobucket, I'll save two, one to PB and then a smaller one to the folder on my PC for the BCCI site.

If I could remember my user id I would log in,,,if I could remember my password. :o

Anyone who doesn't remember their login info for the BCCI website, can simply email me. I'll email you the info. It doesn't take me long to look it up.

I went to BCCI site and posted my way of attaching Photobucket photos. See the Well Traveled 110 thread. I think it is close to Daves method.

If you have issues it is usually related to the fact you are trying to download a big file. 800 pix is max, to fit my wide but short screen I use 670 pix for the largest side and I can see the total photo on my screen. With my screen 800 pix cuts some off. Using 800pix will work with you that have the BIG screens....ha

As you saw, posting pictures there is different than here. What I've done is to make a new folder on my PC's desktop (not a folder in Photobucket) as there's no need for Photobucket. I resize the pictures I want to post to 450 pixels wide (it doesn't seem to matter how long they are) and save them to that folder.

Once that little hurdle is overcome, posting pictures on the BCCI site is easier than it is to post them here. There's no need to get into Photobucket, copying and pasting into the thread. You just use the "browse" button at the bottom to find the picture on you PC and select it.

As Geico would say, "Even a caveman can do it." ;) :D

I just started to check out the BCCI web site, and it looks to be a winner! It will be good to have a site where members can exchange stories, ideas, and experiences. They also have a list of Club Knives that are still for sale, so if you wanted to get one, and didn't, you now have a second chance.
