I didn't use my 2 purchases last year because I held off until the end hoping for something special to "appear" on the web site. By the end of the year it was too late and a lot of knives were no longer available. Being newer to this, what is the history of Limited or Special editions showing up on the website in previous years. I'd like to try and use my benefit on the two more "expensive" knives I'm likely to purchase this year but don't want to run out of time again waiting for something that never happens or is sold out early and never makes it to the website. So tell me, what has been the experience with this previously?

Last year and so far this year, the LE's and other special ones have been very sparce on the web site. I did get in on the Boone and Crockett three knife set the year before at one heck of a deal.

It was also nice that each came with it's own black LE box as well as the display case and all three have the same serial number. No sheaths though.

My experience is the same as PDave's......sparse pickings.

I got a Chipflint 119 .... that's all I can think of in two years. There were a few other good ones, but they just happened to be things I wasn't interested in.

I'd save my purchases and see what develops. You want to get over $50 to get free shipping. Sometimes you use other purchases to make it. Can always use another diamond hone or maybe a certain sheath. Don't neglect to get the DVD--it's interesting.

Luckily, the guys here are likely to share the news as soon as something interesting turns up on the website.

:)

Still kickin myself for not using my prosite benefit last year. Waited forever for the Vantage force pro to come available and then when it did, I screwed around and blew it.

I dont expect a lot of le's and such to be available, I generally use it to pick up newer models or fill a hole.
