BCCI Question

I have been a lifetime member of BCCI for quite a few years and just recently saw mention of the BCCI website having some great reference material.

Since i've not used the website before, I was wondering how to get started? When I go to the homepage, there is a login screen. I'm not sure how to get the appropriate information.

Somewhere I have the membership package, but it was enough years ago that I do not even know my membership #. I do get all the periodic mailings.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter

When I joined, I was sent the information and instructions for logging on to the website. They send you a login ID (which you can't change) that consists of your member number, initials and zip code. They sent a temporary password so that you can log in and then change to your own pasword.

If you don't have a password, I'd suggest contacting them, maybe through the forum. If you will send me your real name, I can check on the site and at least get you your membership number as there is a list of all members there.

To get your Club discount you have to go to

BTW-Im not real impressed with the discount. For instance the 110, with the BCCI discount is still $11 MORE than WalMrt

That is something I wondered about. It seemed that the powers that be at Buck would give members incentive to buy direct rather than from resellers?

I was more interested to have access to historical information on the BCCI site. Jack responded with the information and I now have that access.

Thanks,
Peter

It was posted on here somewhere (not sure where now) that you can order from Leroy Remer at a significant discount as a club member. May be worth it to contact him.

Just a mild correction. Members can order from Larry Oden, VP of the Club, at attractive discount prices. Leroy does "special, creative" work for members - re-handling, etc. Great talent.

well buck has contractual agreements with the companies and wholesalers
they sell to ... i have no information on what buck's contracts say but ..

95% of all industrial contracts have non competitive sales wording
that they will NOT sell retail at any thing close to what the whole sale price is

The bcci is not a part of BKI..
there for is not company so they can not sell directly to us

that they will allow subscribed bcci members to buy via mail
from when they have a clearance sale
is a powerful bennie we have only recently gotten and it was
an experiment that Shara Buck pushed through and
it worked in that sales were much better
it is still an evolving thing with some bugs but it works so far

larry oden serves as a whole-seller to the bcci members and gives us the discount
it is not a club ordered bennie to order from LO it is some thing he does
to support the club he believes in
personally, i dont think he makes no money from sales to us

...Larry ain't makin' a Buck sellin' to us. He's jus' doin' what any good ol' boy would do......:p...jus' my .02 cents worth...OOPS...Gotsta keep dem .02 cents worth fer future purchases...LMAO...:D

Sorry, I had the wrong guy. Follow Dave's guidance (always better than mine when it comes to Buck stuff!).

I need to place an order myself for the 2010 stuff once I see the entire line-up.

+1 The REAL value of being a club member is access to all the info on the web site. In my experience, the discount prices can usually be beat or at least equaled by other sources.
