This is a 25 minutes video of a BCMW's production pilot blade. Performance is BCMW's key-value proposition, while F&F will be at field quality.

*** W2; 1095; 1084 knives will be about 1.5-2rc higher than 52100.

Luong,

The last D2 you tested and showed on the other thread was scary tough

Now this 52100 performs so well, I'd love to replace my coconut chopper .. If you remember my adventure with D2 & 52100 vs coconut ;)
64.5HRC doing crazy things with only minor chip

Thanks much! I think my wood cleaver probably be awesome as coconut knife - for green & brown/riped coconuts. Steel could be 52100 at 64.5rc or 65+rc W2/1095/1084/O1/etc..

Edge of these steels will stay keener/thinner longer than 3V & D2 in push cuts & chops.

Well, I couldn't even produce a clean field-grade grind w/o missing the target 0.016-0.020" BET:barf::mad: BCMW will debut with KSO :p

edit: loss 1/16" blade width. BET now around 0.020-0.022". Sign of 1 ripple remains. Np with crazy chopping now. Will put a handle on this KSO *as it*. Cutting W2 blanks...
