BD-1 Steel for the Spyderco Manix 2 Translucent Blue

So I was wanting to pick up the Manix 2 Translucent Blue with the BD-1 steel now I'm not too edjuuuumacated with my steel so I was wondering if I could get some feedback on this steel or your thoughts and if it's any good! It would be really helpful! It's cause I got some custom scales but don't have a Manix 2 to slap them on so I was wondering was this a good blade to invest it. Thanks for your help! Keep in mind that the BD-1 lightweight Manix 2 is pinned together...

Some like the BD-1, some say it's not good enough.

I found it to hold an edge well, and resharpen to scary sharp easily.
