So I have an opportunity to pick one of these up cheap, but I haven't really been a fan of crkt after becoming a member here because of what I've read. Is this knife any good? From what I'm reading, the blade material (BD1) seems to not be much different than their Aus 8, but then again, I don't know if that's any good since I'm still learning about blade materials. I would be trading off my ka-bar fighting knife and my spyderco tenacious for this if it's worth it. Thanks.

Thanks for showing me that review. Still not sold, but am debating it. Waiting for pictures from the guy.

I hadn't even heard about this yet. I only see it at one site for $70. I am going to wait to see some reviews from regular people.

That's one reason I am actually thinking about getting it, to see how it performs and report back.

You're trading 2 knives for this No Time Off?

The Tenacious actually gets a lotta love around here for being a very good EDC option. And the Ka-Bar fills your need for a fixed.

Honestly, I don't think you should. I like Ikoma designs but this one doesn't really speak to me. It's your call, man.

I only offer the tenacious to increase my chances of getting something decent for the ka-bar. I have a couple custom fixed blades coming, and have no real need for the ka-bar. I've had decent offers for the tenacious, but I don't want to get rid of that one unless I'm getting something good.
